A Blue Lotus story
My love story and devotion to Nefertum, the Blue Lotus god and his magic flower, started in 2006, and still today I go deeper and deeper in the depths of his waters and his mysteries.

The principle reason for me to return to Egypt was to honour Nefertum in his chapel at Karnak, from where his image or statue is absent.
The chapel of SEKHMET ๐ด in the Karnak temple complex, with her majestic statue saturated with her powerful Ka and emanating such healing transformative energy is abundantly visited. This chapel is comprised of three room adjacent to each other. The chapel hosts the holy triad of Memphis, Sekhmet, Ptah and their divine child Nefertum/Nefertem.
While the statue of the lioness sun goddess Sekhmet in the right room is conserved in its glory, you will find in the middle room the statue of her consort, the powerful creator god PTAH, decapitated. Interestingly, this is not the only statue of Ptah that you will see without his head across Egypt.
On the left, the third room is completely empty.
This space supposedly dedicated to Nefertum, appears of no importance to the eye of the visitors.

And so, I have awaited my time to return into the chapel and honour the Blue Lotus god, bringing the water lily flowers and sacred oil, prayers, ๐ฃritual and the heartfelt tears of profound connection with beloved Nefertum, and joy to have returned and finally fulfilled that intention.

The visitor entering that third empty room today, will be able to discover dry Blue Lotus flowers hidden in each corner of the room. I donโt expect you to still find the gorgeous big blue lily in the very middle of the room, but you may perceive a different energy. The energy of love and devotion, the energy of ritual and prayer. The energy of the Blue Lotus. The energy of Nefertum.
The guard surprisingly left me alone respectfully to do what I had to do, and so happy to see the Blue Lotus flowers, he offered to take pictures at the end.
