Epiphany

Wishing you many blessings for a magical, enriching and prosperous 2025 filled with peace, joy and love.

I come to you today in celebration of this Epiphany feast day (6th of January) so symbolic, mysterious and much loved by children in Italy where I grew up.

What is Epiphany and what does it mean to have an Epiphany?

An Epiphany is a moment of sudden realizations, intuitive revelation or, originally, a manifestation of a deity.
An epiphany is a moment of clarity or revelation. A  vision, inspiration, revelation, awakening, Epiphania is the manifestation, or revelation, of the essential meaning of something… the Essence of the Divine within us, the manifestation of divine light or Christ (“meaning the anointed”) within us.

The word Epiphany

From Koine Greek ἐπιφάνεια, epipháneia, it is derived from the verb φαίνειν, phainein, meaning 'to appear', ‘to reveal’, “to manifest”. ‘Epiphania’ or ‘Three Kings’ Day refers to when baby Jesus was ‘revealed’ to the world. Epiphany, is "the manifestation of a god", a spiritual realization.

DO YOU HAVE AN EPIPHANY STORY?

Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, the gifts of the three Kings, the three Wise Men

Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh are the holy gifts presented on Epiphany day by the Magi - also known as the Three kings or the Wise Men.
Sacred resins were as precious as gold for their many medicinal benefits and mystical/metaphysical symbolism.

Epiphania Blessings

May this day and the ones to follow be illuminated by the light of gold and made sacred by the divine smoke of the aromatic scents.
May these bring wisdom to our hearts and minds
